THESE ROYALS WILL RUIN YOU…

Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.

What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.

Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.

SHE MIGHT BE RIGHT.

Broken Prince is like a guilty pleasure soap opera. It picks up right where Paper Princess left off except in this installment we get the added bonus of Reed’s POV. It was so jam packed with crazy drama that I devoured it within 7 hours. When I say that this is like a soap opera, I’m not just saying that lightly. Everyone’s sleeping with everyone which has a whole slew of scandal attached to it, people are hiding dark secrets, there’s life threatening attacks, murder, and even people coming back from the dead. There was always something going on that it was so hard to put the book down to break for lunch.

Since this is a continuation of the first book, I don’t want to go into too much detail about what goes on because everything that happens in this book is a result of what happened in the previous book. All I can say is that the Royals facade of unity is dissolving at a rapid pace and not only is it impacting their home life, but their peers at school smell the bad blood in the water and go into a frenzy. What used to be a “Royals run hierarchy” is now a free-for-all with students bullying each other in steroid mode. I mean, they’re taping girls up against the entrance to the school, in their underwear. That’s just one example. When I say that this book was over the top and dramatic, I’m not making it up.

This series is turning out to be one interesting soap opera. Who’s the baby daddy? Who killed “insert name here.” Will “so and sos” attacker be brought to justice or will they escape the clutches of the law? And that cliffhanger ending is totally a shock factor that no one saw coming. I mean, the authors might as well have ended the story with, “to be continued” in big bold letters across the page. It was just so dramatic that I was still reeling from something else when the ending came out of nowhere and knocked me out. I mean, it’s so crazy, so over the top, and so random that I just wonder if the authors wrote down possible scenarios and pulled them out of a hat as they wrote. One thing is for sure though, I’ve already got the next book sitting right here next to me and I plan to devour it just as fast as this one. It may be a bit soap opera-ish but I’ve got no shame in that. This series has got me tuning in for the next installment.

Favorite quote…

“I don’t feel bad. I’m sick to death of these people From this point on, they’re my enemies. They’re the prison guards and I’m the inmate. They’re not my friends or my family. They’re nothing to me.”
