If you had to describe Edgewood in 5 words… what would they be?
If you don’t mind, I’d like to lift my five words from a book blogger who recently said it was the kind of story where you, “…can’t put the book down.” Thrilling words for any author!

I’ve noticed that you have a lot of books out, ranging from adult to children’s books. How do you find writing such a wide range of genres? Do you find it difficult or refreshing to be able to jump between the age groups?
I like to read all kinds of books, so it makes sense that I’d love to write in a wide range of genres as well. I think more writers would do the same if not for the conventional wisdom that authors need to brand themselves to build a readership. If I were more sensible, I’d probably limit myself to one genre, but I find it exhilarating to mix it up so I won’t be locking myself in anytime soon.

Since Edgewood deals with a group of teens gaining superpowers, if you could have a superpower what would it be and why?
I’m incredibly nosy and a teeny bit lazy, so I’d love to have Nadia’s power—the ability to astral project anywhere in the world. It’s like being invisible and being able to fly all at the same time.

If you could choose any actor/model to play Nadia, Mallory and Jameson, who would they be?
I’ve been asked this question before, and I can never match up a real person with my fictional creations. I have very clear ideas about who they are as people, and I can picture them in my head, but I prefer to let the readers have their own vision of each character.

You are stopping by Book Sniffers Anonymous after all so I must ask… are you a book sniffer?
If being a book sniffer means that getting lost in a good book is one of my favorite things to do, then the answer is yes!

We always end our reviews with our favorite quote/part from the book and I know with Edgewood being your baby, it will be hard to choose but what is your favorite part or quote?
You’re right—it was hard to choose, so I cheated and stole a quote that a reader had highlighted on her Kindle:

“Making her laugh was the best, like winning a prize. I found myself making funny little comments on a regular basis, trying to amuse her. I was a rat pulling levers, hoping a food pellet would come my way.”

The night Russ Becker witnesses a strange astronomical event, his world changes forever. Before long Russ discovers he’s developed incredible superpowers, and he’s not the only one. Three other young people—beautiful Mallory, arrogant Jameson, and mysterious Nadia—have had the same experience and all of them now have powers of their own. Mallory can control peoples’ minds, Jameson moves objects with his thoughts, and Nadia has empathic abilities.

At first the four relish their newfound gifts, but things become serious when they learn they are being hunted by an organization that wants them for its own nefarious purposes. When Russ’s family is threatened, he’s forced into action. What transpires will change all of them in ways they never imagined.
