My thoughts…
This series focuses on a group of friends who went to Las Vegas, got drunk, and wound up married. This is the second book in the series and it’s one where we get to meet a quiet fishermen from Canada and a feisty Hollywood Heiress. Even though Harlow and Finn spent twelve hours being married, they aren’t really able to stand each other. However, when Finn shows up in town unannounced, they are forced to be around each other more than they’d like thanks to their friends.
Okay, I love just about every book these two write but I have to admit something, and it hurts to admit this but… I didn’t really care for this story. Maybe it was the fact that these two don’t actually start to develop feelings or start treating each other in a civil manner until halfway through the book. I mean, when the synopsis says that they dislike each other, it’s not lying. Finn is condescending and talks down to Harlow all the time. He always seems to roll his eyes at her and ask her if she’s thinking about the latest shoes coming out or what color she’s going to paint her nails next. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to him, she’s got a lot of crap going on with her mother battling cancer. Not to mention, you know she has feeling for him because she went up to Canada after their quickie marriage and divorce to see him. Except, after a night of some hot sweaty fun, he calls her a cab to take her back to the airport so she can go back home to the States. So, to say that I didn’t care for Finn is putting it mildly. I just didn’t like how he treated Harlow, I didn’t like their relationship, and I thought he was a major jerk-face.
So, with that being said, it was really hard for me to enjoy this story when he was a complete a-hole to Harlow but had no problems banging her. I just wasn’t feeling their relationship and considering this story is a romance, it really made enjoying this story difficult. I’ve enjoyed all the books in the series but this is my least favorite from this author across the board. This is actually my second time reading this book in an attempt to write a review that wasn’t just me complaining but even the second time around I couldn’t stand Finn or fully back their relationship.

My favorite was the first story in the series. The others were good but I loved Ansel.
It’s a shame you didn’t enjoy this one… I did from memory, but sometimes a read doesn’t always connect with all readers.
