A cruise ship. A beautiful island. Two sexy guys. What could possibly go wrong?

In the Bermuda Triangle—a lot.

Hoping to leave behind the reminders of her crappy life–her father’s death years ago, her mother’s medical problems, and the loser who’s practically stalking her–seventeen-year-old Autumn Taylor hops on a ship with her sister for a little distraction. When she wakes up in the Bermuda Triangle, she fears she’s gone nuts for more than one reason: that loser’s suddenly claiming they’re a happy couple… a hot guy is wrapping his arms around her and saying “Happy Anniversary”… and suddenly, she’s full of bruises, losing her hair, and getting IV medication. Autumn visits the ship’s doctor, hoping for a pill or a shot to make the craziness go away. Instead, she’s warned that these “alternate realities” could become permanent.

She just has to ask herself one question—how the hell is she going to get out of this mess?

When I read the synopsis for this book I thought, this sounds like a fun read. I mean, poor Autumn has all these things happen to her while in the Bermuda Triangle. Sort of like she enters alternate dimensions every day that the ship is in the triangle. On the first day she’s she’s apparently with the hot guy Marcus, who she just met on the ship. Meanwhile, Joey, the guy who’s been following her around, has absolutely no idea who she is. The second day she finds herself with Joey, while her sister, Jessica, is with Marcus. Then on the third and final day, she’s fighting for her life while battling cancer. It sort of reminded me of the movie Groundhog Day except every day that Autumn woke up, everything was different.

“This cruise will change your life. Nothing will be the same when it’s over, but it will be worth it. You’ll see.”

I liked the whole idea of the book but unfortunately I did not like the main character at all. She was so full of herself and down right rude to Joey. I get that he is relentless in trying to win her affections but she would say things to him that made me cringe. She talked down to him like he was a child, snapped her fingers for drinks (because she knew he’d jump up and do whatever she wanted) and would yell at him when he was just trying to help.

Aside from my dislike of the main character and sort of hoping that she got stuck in the Bermuda Triangle, I enjoyed the story as a whole. Kimberly has a way of telling a story and keeping the reader interested in what’s going on. If I’d have liked the main character, I would have probably loved this book.

“The only thing preventing me from banging my head on the fancy table was the high chance of stabbing myself in the eye with all that silverware.”

  1. Thanks for the review. I have this to read also. I hate it when you don’t like the MC though.

  2. When using Rafflecopter, must you do it every day, or just once?
