Even in Grundy, Alaska, it’s unusual to find a naked guy with a bear trap clamped to his ankle on your porch. But when said guy turns into a wolf, recent southern transplant Mo Wenstein has no difficulty identifying the problem. Her surly neighbor Cooper Graham—who has been openly critical of Mo’s ability to adapt to life in Alaska—has trouble of his own. Werewolf trouble.

For Cooper, an Alpha in self-imposed exile from his dysfunctional pack, it’s love at first sniff when it comes to Mo. But Cooper has an even more pressing concern on his mind. Several people around Grundy have been the victims of wolf attacks, and since Cooper has no memory of what he gets up to while in werewolf form, he’s worried that he might be the violent canine in question.

If a wolf cries wolf, it makes sense to listen, yet Mo is convinced that Cooper is not the culprit. Except if he’s not responsible, then who is? And when a werewolf falls head over haunches in love with you, what are you supposed to do anyway? The rules of dating just got a whole lot more complicated. . . .

1thoughtsMo lived a very sheltered life growing up. Very sheltered. It wasn’t until she left home school and went into public school that she realized how not-normal she really was. So she made it her goal to do everything opposite of what her parents would want for her. After a of bad choices she realized she couldn’t live like that. So she packed up and moved up north to Alaska to find herself. Instead what she found was a small town of wonderful people and a brooding werewolf.

This is one of those chick lit paranormal romances that will have you smiling at least a handful of times throughout it. Molly definitely has a quirky sense of humor and it shows in her writing. I found myself really enjoying the story and falling in love with all of the characters from the book. I can’t say that I’m surprised by what goes on in the book but that’s okay because it was an enjoyable read. There was mystery, werewolves, steamy scenes and that small town feel to it.

I’m not usually a series kind of girl but I like that each book will focus on a different werewolf in Alaska. I’ve grown attached to the characters and I can’t wait to see which ones fall in love next.

1favequote“He’s like that with everybody. Don’t take it personally. Some people were just born with a pinecone shoved up their butts.
In Cooper’s case, it’s lodged sideways.”
