Break Time is Over!

I’m linking this post to Sunday Post, Feed Your Fiction Addiction, and It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

So you might have noticed that I took a couple of months off. I wasn’t reading, I didn’t have the focus or drive to sit down and blog, and I wasn’t even on social media. Some of you know that I was having some health issues and thankfully that has all been figured out and I’m on medicine to help keep my levels regulated. Since getting back on track medically, my desire to read came back. I found myself reading as much as I could with my time off from work, and I started to notice my old self coming back.

In the last couple of months I’ve slowly started to get my reading groove back. I also resumed a knitting project I had started months ago. One of my good friends who is a whiz with a sewing machine (she makes so many quilts that she should start an Etsy account), came over and taught me how to use my dusty sewing machine that I’ve had for about 15 years. I swore that thing was just crap, but apparently it was all me. So, I’ve taken up sewing projects during my time off from blogging as well.

I think the biggest thing I did during my time off was the Mister and I did some exploring. We went up to Big Bear for my birthday to do some hikes and explore the mountains. We took some time off from work to go out to Disneyland. Which was something the Mister said he would never do, but I really wanted to see Halloween Disney, so we went. I also took a trip out to the mountains to take in the fall weather and eat some apple cider donuts. Needless to say, I’m starting to get back to normal and be more active.

Thank you to everyone who stuck with me the last few months as I sort of slowed down and disappeared for a bit. I tried to stay active on Instagram so that you all knew I was still alive and well, but I wasn’t really online much more than that. So thanks for sticking with me while I got my health back up to speed. <3

  1. I’m so happy to hear that you’re feeling better and got things figured out. I know how hard it is to have a health problem and have problems because of it.

  2. I’m so glad you’re feeling better! I’m sorry your break was due to medical issues (and glad you got that sorted) but I also think taking a break from blogging can be really nice. Just reading for pleasure, trying out some other hobbies…. blogging can seem all-consuming sometimes.
Anyway glad you are back and look forward to talking to you again — about books or anything!

  3. Welcome back! I’m glad that you are starting to feel better and getting your mojo back. I hope you enjoy Find Me Their Bones. I need to get a copy ASAP because I loved Bring Me Their Hearts. πŸ™‚

  4. I’m glad you are better and feeling more like yourself. My homesteading group had a sewing class a few months ago. I enjoyed learning to sew but I can’t seem to find the time to do it. See my October wrap up

  5. Glad to hear you’re feeling better! Everyone needs a break and we get it. πŸ™‚
We went to Disney (Orlando) at Halloween back in 2017 and it was a lot of fun.
I’m terrible at keeping up with Instagram (and remembering to post on it regularly) so I miss everything, lol. I did go and take a quick look at your feed though and like your pictures! Bookish pet pics are the best.

I’m happy you’re back on a healthy track and can blog again. I enjoyed looking at your instagram pics. The Bookworm Crush is high on my want to read list.
