Clean Sweep Reading Challenge

It’s time to pull out all of my unread ARC’s and review books and start reading. I’m usually really good about keeping up with review copies but I will admit that some of the gifted copies from publishers don’t always make it onto my reading list. It’s just so hard with so many books coming out to keep up with all the books I get. Which is why I was excited when Kimberly over at Caffeinated Book Reviewer announced that she’d be hosting an event to help push you into reading your review books. I’ll be going a lot lighter on the goal list than I had initially planned and that’s because the month of May is going to be hectic. If I end up reading more than my goal, I’ll be sure to add the books to the list below. 🙂

My goals for this month are…

The finish line…

I’d like to thank Kim for hosting this event. It was a great way for me to not only get a head start on some ARC’s that will be releasing soon, but it gave me an excuse to dust off my older books as well. Which, let’s be honest, really needed to be done. While I only made it through about half of my goal, with all things considered, I’m proud that I got even that much read. I had my parents visiting for two weeks, dental appointments, and I lost one of my furbabies this month. There’s was little to no reading going on until about the last week. It also didn’t help that a lot of the books didn’t work for me. Which was probably why I still hadn’t read them yet. Below are the books I was able to read (or attempted to read but gave up on)…

The Next Flame by Penelope Douglas
Dangerously Bad by Eden Bradley (DNF)
Royal Bastards by Andrew Shvarts
Highland Hellion by Mary Wine
The Virgin’s Daughter by Laura Andersen (DNF)
Illegal Contact by Santino Hassell
Deja Who by Mary Janice Davidson (DNF)

3 Thoughts on “Clean Sweep Reading Challenge

  1. Can’t wait to see your thoughts on several of these 🙂

  2. Can’t wait to read your review for The Next Flame. I’m curious about it. I’m planning to read a book by the author tomorrow and maybe that book later but I’m still on the fence about it.

  3. This readathon sounds genius and the amount you ended up finishing is quite impressive! Great job! :-$
