Double the reading, double the fun!

I’m linking this post to Sunday Post, Stacking the Shelves, and It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

Whoops! I know, I know. I missed last week’s round-up. With the Mister away on business for a week and a half, I sort of lost track of time and my schedule got all mixed up. I also had quite a bit going on which caused me to forget to schedule my posts on time. I was also pretty inactive on Instagram except for sharing stories of what I was up to.

One of the many things I did this past week was I took my dog to the dog beach for the first time ever. He had a blast, and I almost had a heart attack. The dog beach isn’t fenced in and so of course when I took the leash off of him, it took him all of 20 seconds to turn and bolt back towards the busy road. Needless to say, he got hooked back up to his leash (once I caught him), and we walked around the dog beach as a team from that moment on. Never again. 🙄

New arrivals

Luke was part of a blog tour from Inkslinger PR. The Replacement Crush was a freebie. Thank you Pocket books, Sourcebooks Casablanca, Entangled, and  for Hooked on You, Through the Fire, Her Super-Secret Rebound Boyfriend, and Just One of the Royals.

Read last week

Luke was an okay read. It didn’t really engage me or pull me into the story. Infinity was an interesting story about inter-dimension jumping. I was a little bored during it, but I’m hoping that now that all the introductions are out-of-the-way, the story will pick up some in the next book. Twice Tempted and Bound by Flames were both a good continuation of Leila and Vlad’s story. I’m really sad that there’s only one more book left. The Kiss Quotient was so adorable! I absolutely loved this book.

  1. The dog beach sounds awesome but yeah that would be scary! Glad he was okay. And The Replacement Crush and The Kiss Quotient look cute. Happy reading!

yay many books! I understand that you were scared for your dog with the road…

  3. Sounds like the dog beach was quite an unexpected adventure for you, lol. I love the photo of your dog though. He looks so excited!

I hope you have a great week and that it’s not as hectic as last week sounds.

  4. That is scary. My dog doesn’t run but he is so scared of EVERYTHING that if I took him off the leash he wouldn’t leave my leg. He tries to crawl into your skin if he sees other dogs or people. A beach dog park sounds nice. Maybe we would do better on a retractable leash? If you don’t already have one. I like those for when we go to a park.

I hope you have a great week Kristin! Happy Reading!

  5. I used to take my older dog to the beach all the time. He loved it! But I haven’t taken Fonzi yet. They both enjoy our pool – sort of. lol

    I hope you’re having a nice weekend!

  7. The dog beach sounds fun. We don’t have a beach here in Vegas.

  8. Looks like doggie enjoyed the beach. LOL Thanks for dropping by my blog and I hope you have a great week.

  9. I remember that I liked the Night Prince novels but it’s been years since I read them… And I don’t think I made it to book 3… Just the first two. I’m glad you enjoyed them and hopefully the final one is good for you too! I really need to re-visit them and actually read the Cat and Bones books.
    Have a good week!

  10. Oh my gosh. Yep that would take a few minutes off your life. I’ve never been to a dog beach (mine was NOT a fan of water lol) but sounds fun if they stick with ya.

Oh goodness, I’m glad you got your dog okay! I’d have freaked out too. LOL Other than that, the dog beach sounds like tons of fun.
