Give me all the DIYs

I’m linking this post to Sunday Post, Stacking the Shelves, and It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

I got a lot of reading in this week. I caught up on review books for the month of September, which I was a little nervous about. I honestly thought I would have to hustle to catch up but that wasn’t the case.

I have fallen down the Dollar Tree DIY rabbit hole. I feel like I’m the last person to find out that the Dollar Tree is really a Michael’s in disguise. I randomly stumbled across a Dollar Tree organizing video that had me looking at all the plastic bins that clutter their shelves in a whole new light. So, I decided to do a search on Youtube for Dollar Tree videos and holy cow! People are making end tables out of trash bins, shelving units out of photo frames, and plant stands out of paper towel holders! Don’t even get me started on all the Halloween and Fall stuff they are cranking out… and it’s only September. I might have popped into my local store about three times this week waiting for them to get their stock in.

New arrivals

I snagged a copy of Getaway Girl for 99cents when it was on sale last week.

Read last week

Once Upon a Highland Christmas Was a fun historical read. It’s been a while since I read a good highland romance.

Kiss the Girl is a story that I’ve been waiting for. I’m so glad that we finally got Ariel’s story and it had a lot more to offer than I thought it would.

Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating is such a super cute read! Seriously, I want a Hazel as my bff!

Cross Breed gave us Cassie’s story and boy is she all grown up now.

Total Cat Mojo was a really good read for anyone who has or is thinking about getting a cat. He really went into depth on cat behaviors and what’s going on with our feline friends.

  1. Your instagram looks lovely 🙂 and DIY is always great! And thrifty.
I hope you have a great week 🙂

  2. I want to read Cross Breed. It’s on my list to read.
Dollar Tree is a great store. I just found Hollar.com. It’s an online dollar store and I love all the kitchen and household items they have. And the back to school items too.

  3. Good luck with your projects! We used to have a Dollar Tree around here, but I don’t think it’s there anymore. Have a great week!

  4. My reading picked up this past week too, after a mini- slump. Glad you had a good reading week! And oh my gosh Dollar Tree/ Michael’s…. talk about Halloween stuff. Yikes!

    Total Cat Mojo looks fun!

  5. I haven’t been to dollar tree in awhile but this might explain why dozens of them are popping up all around me.

I’ll have to check it out because I’m a huge $$ bin gal lol

  6. Total cat mojo sounds cool. I have one cat that’s totally chill and easy to read and one that’s cantankerous, high strung and demanding… I’d like to know what goes on in that one’s head and how to get her to chill tf out.
