Lots of dudes on covers

I’m linking this post to Sunday Post, Stacking the Shelves, and It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. This week was a bit all over the place for me. I wound up getting sick again later in the week. Which really sucked. Especially since later that night I was attending a Mamma Mia! play with a few friends. Thankfully, I rallied and was able to go and have been feeling good since. Cross your fingers for me.

Yesterday the Mister and I took a drive up north to go to a craft store. While we were out there, I wanted to check out a local nursery… you know, just to see what they had. Big mistake. Or was it? We wound up walking out with five new plants. We then proceeded to discus how we were going to get all these plants to our new place, which is a few hours away, while driving back home.

Oh, and I also joined a book club with some people on Instagram. I just managed to catch a IG story from a book blogger I follow who was asking if anyone would be interested in joining a romance book club. Um… hello! Yes, please! I’ve been wanting to join a romance book club, but have never been able to find one.

New arrivals

Thank you, Berkley Romance for sending me review copies of One Perfect Kiss and Bound for Sin . My Commander is the book we are reading for the book club.

Read last week

Getting Schooled was a cute and quick read. I didn’t find myself really connecting with the characters though. I seem to be having a problem with that lately. Lead was a fun book to read. I’ve enjoyed the previous books in the Stage Dive series and this one was no exception.

  2. I hate being sick in the summer! Oh, Lead! Jimmy is my second favorite in Stage Dive, after Mal. Mal is my one and only!

  3. Sorry you were sick. I have to avoid plant and pet stores because I want everything, and I’m not very good at keeping living things alive. Have a great week! Enjoy the book club!

  4. Ugh being sick in the summertime is never fun. Well any time really, but summer just feels like a wrong time to be sick? Anyway hope you got the plants home okay and that they work out! 🙂
