It all started with a sexy selfie.

It was a stupid dare from a girl I’d met online, but since she’d given me a fake number, I didn’t feel bad that my interests were suddenly focused elsewhere — on the fiery and sharp-tongued, Peyton that I found myself sparring with over text for the rest of the evening.

The following day, my case of mistaken identity came back to bite me in the banana.

When I strolled into the office, I was introduced to Peyton as the new client I needed to win over. The Peyton, in case you’re not tracking.

And let’s just say she had my full attention.

Brains? Check.

Beauty? Oh yeah.

And the best part? She hated me on sight.

Dear God, do I love a challenge.

Let the games begin.

The story starts off with Josh texting some chick he met on a dating app a dick pic. Only, she gave him the wrong number and his picture went to some unsuspecting chick. If that’s not embarrassing enough, the next day Josh shows up to work to meet a prospective partner to his business only to have that person be the poor chick he sent his dick pic to. How do they this? Well, first off they exchanged names and I mean, how many Peyton’s are out there. Secondly, Josh sent her a picture of him as a kid to try to make himself seem less like a creeper, and she recognizes him. So yeah, this story starts off with some pretty hilariously awkward times.

As the story progresses these two find it harder and harder to remain professional and keep their distance. It doesn’t help that Peyton’s grandmother has it in her head that Josh would be perfect for Peyton, regardless of their current working situation. It was really cute seeing the way Josh interacted with Peyton’s grandmother and how Peyton interacted with the people in Josh’s life. I really enjoyed the whole family/friend dynamic in this story and how each of the main characters had a solid group of people surrounding them.

This was a cute story. Like I said, it started off on an awkward funny note, but pretty soon turned into more of a hidden romance. Between the main characters, the secondary characters, and all the chemistry going on, the book had me flipping pages until the end. If you are in the market for a cute romance, this is definitely worth the read.
