This book is what we’ve been waiting for since Mac landed in Dublin. While we still do not have the answers to everything, so much is discovered and concluded in this book. I really enjoyed seeing Mac grow as a character as well as getting a deeper glimpse into the world that the author created.
So, I don’t want to go into too much detail and give anything away, but let’s just say the author throws a lot of twists and turns at us in this book. We find out things about the book we didn’t know, as well as learn some new developments about some of our beloved characters. There was just always something happening in this book that it was hard to put down.
Not only did the author take the time to really dive deep into the characters and their backstories a bit more, but we also got more world building. I mean, for the 5th book, how is that even possible? The author just kept adding more and more layers to this world and it really made it into its own reality.
Gah! It’s killing me to not to go into details on this one but since it’s kind of a semi-conclusion, I don’t want to give any of the surprises away. Just know, that if you are looking to read a fantasy series with a slow burning romance that takes EONS to actually happen, then you should really give this series a read. It has the fae, creatures of all sorts, and just so much deep history in the fae that I don’t even know where to start.

It can be hard to review a book that you really liked because you want to tell everyone all the reasons that it was so good. I love finding a book like that.
